Joan Rivers and Leonard Nimoy were among the late celebrities honoured during the Emmys' In Memoriam segment on Sunday (20.09.15).

The 81-year-old comedian - who died in September 2014 - was remembered at the ceremony during a touching tribute as Eva Cassidy's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' played.
Director and producer Mike Nichols, who passed away at the age of 83 last year, was the first to feature in the picture montage and was followed by famous faces including Joan, 'Scream' director Wes Craven, 'The Godfather' actor Alex Rocco, producer Jerry Weintraub and 'The Avengers' star Patrick Macnee.
'Eight Is Enough's Dick Van Patten, 'The Simpsons' creator Sam Simon, blues legend B.B. King and sports commentator Frank Gifford were also featured.
'Star Trek' legend Leonard, who passed away in February at the age of 83, was the final star to appear in the tribute.
The slideshow ended with him as Spock from 'Star Trek' reciting the famous Vulcan salute: "Live long and prosper."
Joan's inclusion came after she was controversially left out of the In Memoriam tribute at the Academy Awards in February.
She passed away after being placed in a medically-induced coma following complications related to surgery on her throat at a Manhattan clinic.
